Support

We provide help and resources to empower better lives every day.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), Carers Community Circle provides local support, activities and events for unpaid carers across Hackney, Enfield and Waltham Forest. Through our online community, practical resources and wellbeing initiatives, we also support carers across the UK and warmly welcome carers from around the world to connect, share experiences and access trusted information in a caring, inclusive community.

Our Story

Carers Community Circle started with a simple idea: caring can be isolating, and no one should have to carry it alone. Many of us have lived this ourselves — supporting a loved one, coordinating care, learning as we went that the hardest part often isn’t the caring itself, but doing it quietly, without anyone to turn to. It’s why CCC exists — to make sure that quiet becomes a little less lonely.

We bring people together — over coffee, on a walk, in a workshop, or online — to share the load, swap knowledge, and remind each other that support is close by.

We support people from all cultural, ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds, including unpaid and paid carers, vulnerable adults, older people, people experiencing mental health difficulties, loneliness or isolation, and families across Hackney and the surrounding boroughs — in person locally, and online with people near and far.

Everyone is welcome, whatever your background, faith or life journey.

Who we are, officially

Carers Community Circle is a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a social enterprise set up to put people before profit. That means everything we do is directed back into supporting our community, and our accounts are publicly available on the CIC register. We're not a registered charity, but we hold ourselves to the same standard of transparency and care.

What We Offer

Something for every stage of your caring journey — in person and online.

Community & connection

Coffee mornings, peer support groups and discussion groups where you can share what you're going through, build real friendships, and feel a little less alone.

🏃

Wellbeing & activity

Walks, exercise sessions and wellbeing activities that look after your body as well as your mind — a reason to get outside, move, and reconnect.

🧠

The Knowledge Exchange

Our peer-led group where carers share what they've learned — from navigating services to everyday coping strategies — because sometimes the best advice comes from someone who's been there.

🎬

Dementia-friendly screenings

Relaxed, judgement-free film screenings designed with dementia in mind, so you and the person you care for can enjoy a morning out together.

🎓

Workshops & learning

Workshops, educational programmes, CPD, vocational and digital skills training — building confidence and opening doors, whether you're preparing for work, further study, or simply want to feel more confident online.

🚌

Trips & outings

Museum visits, theatre trips, swimming and community outings — because caring responsibilities shouldn't mean missing out on culture, fun and shared memories.

💻

Online & from home

Virtual coffee mornings, reading clubs, online peer support, mindfulness sessions and one-to-one mentoring — for anyone who can't always get to us in person, wherever you are.

Support Our Work

Carers Community Circle CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company supporting unpaid carers, vulnerable adults, and families across Hackney, Enfield and Waltham Forest.

As a CIC, we're not a registered charity — but every contribution is locked to community benefit under our CIC Asset Lock, meaning it can only ever go back into our work. Your support will help fund coffee mornings, dementia-friendly screenings, and advocacy support for carers across our communities.

Online giving is launching soon. In the meantime, get in touch at carerscommunity@jstraininganddevelopment.co.uk to find out how to support our work.

CIC Asset Lock

Every contribution is legally protected and must be used for community benefit — guaranteed by our CIC constitution.
